The COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the disparities and inequities faced by communities of color, especially our most vulnerable low-income families and individuals. One of the greatest challenges we face as a society is educational inequity – namely, the learning and achievement gaps. The San Francisco Human Rights Commission (HRC) has developed an Educational Equity Action Plan, to address community identified needs, support families, engage youth and provide resources and services focused on closing persistent opportunity gaps.
