The Educational Equity Action Plan is community centered and advances strategies that support parents, educators and youth as full partners.

The Plan is modeled after research and evidenced best practices. Areas of focus include:


BOOKS

A partnership with the Human Rights Commission, the San Francisco Public Library and the Recreation and Parks Department has secured over 800 titles and 12,000 books for distribution. The Human Rights Commission has developed activity sheets and packets for some of the titles

CHROMEBOOKS

In partnership with the San Francisco Housing Authority and HOPE SF, HRC is distributing Chromebooks to 500 youth experiencing the disproportionate impact of academic achievement disparities. In addition, youth can register to participate in virtual classrooms. Students will keep their computers and are expected to participate regularly in online activities led by the Human Rights Commission and community partners Collective Impact and Mo’ MAGIC.
