  • Wide Open School: An online platform developed in response to COVID-19’s disruption to our children’s learning due to the closing of schools across the nation. Designed for both families and educators, Wide Open School is a free collection of PreK–12 resources curated by Common Sense Media.

  • Adrian-Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors: Developed by parent leaders, access videos, materials, resources and more in Spanish. 

  • CreatED by Crayola: Creative at-home learning resources: Art-infused lesson plans, parents resources, create-to-lea kits, and art sets & inspiration.

  • FamiliesInSchools: Research shows that helping our students create a flexible structure around learning is not a bad idea. This site helps you find a list of free resources to support student learning during school closures. 

  • Reading Partners: Resources for parents, guardians, and other relatives to stay educated and informed about early literacy. 

  • Wonderopolis: More than 2,500 Wonders of the Day® pose intriguing questions about the world to jumpstart students' critical thinking. Each unique Wonder comes with hands-on activities to reinforce learning, and content is available for free in over 60 languages through Microsoft’s Immersive Reader.

  • Class DoJo: ClassDojo is an educational technology communication app and website. It connects primary school teachers, students and families through communication features, such as a feed for photos and videos from the school day, and messaging that can be translated into more than 35 languages and has been used in 180 countries. 

  • Say Hi: Have a conversation in two languages and hear your voice translated instantly. This works best for text messaging or in person for short conversations. 

  • Sustain and Gain: Blueprint for a long-term, thriving family literacy/parent engagement program

  • Bloomz: A free app to easily communicate with families.  You can send pictures and instantly message parents.

  • Ready 4K: ParentPowered PBC is offering an enhanced version of the core Ready4K program for free through the end of the 2019-2020 school year to US early education providers to support at-home learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. No internet required, as they use text messaging, the only technology that reaches 98% of families. 

  • Flyer Connect: Their free-forever service connects families with schools, districts, and non-profits in 100+ languages without dealing with account setup, disconnected  numbers or emails.  Communicate, collect forms/surveys and share social assistance, behavior and academic resources with all families. 

  • ReadyRosie™ is a research-based family engagement and early learning resource that is uniquely content-driven, with mobile-friendly digital tools that support families with Modeled Moments videos. These videos are filmed in English and in Spanish and show real families modeling fun activities and games that support learning standards in authentic ways. Through ReadyRosie's Share platform educators can customize content for families, track progress and assess data to measure impact. Families can comment on content shared and provide educators with powerful insights about their children and family goals.
